The correct answer is the third: The artists traveled to visit the temples and buildings. The Renaissance began with the construction of the cathedral of the Duomo of the Florence cathedral, Santa Maria del Fiore by Filippo Brunelleschi in the mid-15th century. This great architect and artist, traveled from Florence to Rome in order to study the ancient Roman buildings, and there was inspired by the Cathedral of the Pantheon of Agrippa to build the new Cathedral of Florence, which became the starting point of the Renaissance architecture. This attitude, to study and be inspired by the ancient Romans and greeks, ancient temples and art to create something completely new was the hallmark of Renaissance art and architecture, and began with the travel of the artists to visit the temples and buildings.
