The Gemini program, which took place from 1965 to 1966 was valuable for future space programs due to the astronauts set in a soothing way and landing, docking with other spacecraft, as well as many of the flights in the space allowed for a test of the environment and its effect on the astronauts. It helped the astronauts to become better prepared for these effects, and different conditions.
