The correct answer is B. the Lake Nasser was scheduled to flood the valley where the temple is located.During the 1960s Lake Nasser experienced an increase in the levels of water and the valley was in constant threat of being flooded by its waters. In the vicinity of the lake is also home to the Abu Simbal temple, which is of great national, cultural, historical significance to the Egyptians, so the government decided to intervene and save one of the national treasures, and not let it be destroyed. So that, practically, we performed a rescue mission of the temple and moved away from the valley threatened by Lake Nasser, and on safer ground.
