Satellite TV dishes are typically round, in order to receive the signal better. Shapes of satellite dishes can vary based on which satellite provider you have (Dish Network or Directv) and LNB (attached to the Dish in order to get the signal) that you have. Generally speaking, the larger the Dish, the more satellites you will be able to pick up--Satellite companies typically pick up more than two orbital positions in order for you to receive your programming.
