You must run the exhaust fan before starting a boats inboard gasoline engine to eliminate the fuel vapors. If you have not started the boat for some time, inspect the boat first before you run to check if there is a problem. Sometimes we think that there is small problem, but later may cause a big problem. So you should look for the engine, fuel, etc, these are all precautionary measures for our safety.
