Read the excerpt from "Mother Tongue." Lately, I’ve been giving more thought to the kind of English my mother speaks. Like others, I have described it to people as “broken” or “fractured” English. But I wince when I say that. It has always bothered me that I can think of no other way to describe it other than “broken,” as if it were damaged and needed to be fixed, as if it lacked a certain wholeness and soundness. How does Tan build a central idea of her story in the excerpt? Tan discusses her thoughts about language to build the idea that the English language does not have words to match some Chinese terms. Tan discusses her relationship with her mother to build the idea that mothers and daughters in all cultures often have misunderstandings. Tan discusses her mother’s use of English to build the idea that a form of language can be purposeful and meaningful even if it is nonstandard. Tan discusses the English language to build the idea that there is a lack of appropriate synonyms for the word “broken.”

Response 1 This is not the case currently. It was before that white girls; as well as white boy; hated the blacks when there was discrimination and racism between the whites and blacks. At present, there is equal human rights and there is no longer racism and discrimination based on race, color, religion, gender, and/or nationality. Answer 2: Another Perspective Your question assumes that all white girls hate all black guys. That is not a given. Racial biases take many forms, depending on the person, the culture, the country, the particular circumstances, and many other factors. Racism is present in some form in all societies - sometimes masked, sometimes murderous-but racial prejudice are not generic and so there is no definitive answer to the question. Answer 3 I could assure that, at least in Islamic countries; white girls never hate black men. This is because of the Islamic rules and teachings of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Quran commands that no one is better than another except with piety and good works. The qur'an says: "O mankind, indeed We (Allah or God in English and same God worshiped in Judaism and Christianity) have created you from a male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know each other. In fact, the noblest among you in the sight of Allah is the most worthy of you. Indeed, allah is Knowing and Acquainted." [49:13]..
