You sensationalize issues because it is what the viewers want and what makes more exciting headlines. The American public becomes the news when they see and hear an exciting title. For example, the news has become a superstar of Donald Trump, because its sensational comments to make people see. The news exagerates the comments and play again and again to get the attention of the viewer.
