Charles Mason and Jeremiah Dixon were the surveyors who demarcatedthe Mason-Dixon line between 1763 and 1767. This was done to settlethe issues of the border between the British colonies. The agreement to extendthe line was made in 1799. The surveyors were Charles Mason andJeremiah Dixon.
