Who gives good online art courses?

I am good at painting and designing but I have limited knowledge about the various computer applications for this purpose. I am interested in learning graphic design. Now I doubt if I am able to learn to use different computer applications properly. Are there some online art courses that allow me to learn at my own pace? Do you think it is possible to learn graphic design through online design classes even if you have very limited knowledge? If you think it is possible, can you provide me with information about the top online courses which will help me learn graphic design as a person with little experience?

Yes, art lovers like you can be happy because the internet has a large number of courses for you. It is not possible to mention all of them but I am going to provide you an overall idea of the field. The best place for you to start your search when it comes to online learning is udemy.com, a world famous online learning platform where you can find thousands of online courses in art.

The udemy website provides a large number of courses for graphic design. The first one that came to my notice considering the fact that you are not very comfortable with new computer applications is a course named Graphic Design Bootcamp. This course is aimed at the beginners and the website makes it clear that you can join the course even though you are not familiar with Adobe apps. The main apps used in the program are Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. In this course, you will learn how to make custom logos, business cards, brochures, web graphics, and many more. This course is created and delivered by Derrick Mitchell. This ‘best seller’ course on udemy will cost you $960. For more information, you can use the link https://www.udemy.com/graphic-design-for-beginners/.

If you think you are a very beginner, there is another course for you, named Graphic Design-An Overview of the Field. As the name indicates, the course is an overview of the entire field, giving you more insight into the graphic design industry. Obviously a good start for a beginner. The course will cover logos, packaging, posters, book covers, motion graphics, websites, annual reports, environmental graphics, and editorial design. Go to the link https://www.udemy.com/graphic-design-secrets/ for more information.

There are many other sources as well from where you can get design classes online. For example, there is the Graphic Design course of one-month duration from the online learning platform coursera. This course content is created and delivered by the University of Colorado Boulder. The course will teach you how to use contrast, repetition, proximity, and tension to create great designs. In the course, you will become familiar with usual design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.

Finally, there is the Graphic and Digital Design Certificate course from Parsons School of Design, New York City. The course can be completed wholly online and suits both beginners and advanced learners. Remember, there are many more places where you can find good quality online courses.

If you have a taste for art, learning graphic design is a way to make some passive income. I had given up my employment after the birth of my second child. It was my lack of income that made me think about graphic design. I took an online course in graphic designing. These days, I make some money out of what I have learned. I sell my designs through online platforms like Society6, Redbubble and Creative Market. Though I can’t say that the income is very impressive, I find it better than nothing. What is more important is the fact that I have managed to get rid of boredom and found a way to showcase for my talent. It makes me feel proud when I see so many things including phone cases, t-shirts, mugs, tote bags, tapestries and art prints using my design. I think you should go ahead with your plan to join online design classes.
