This theory indicates that when you experience emotions, certain steps are followed; in the first place, we observe a situation, or we receive a stimulus (for example, to hear a sound) this triggers physiological changes (e.g. sweating, or increased heart rate) that triggers the emotion (in this case fear).I hope that my answer can help you.
