The statement, which is not true about cones of ash is this: they do NOT PRODUCE LAVA FLOWS.Cinder cones refers to the cones that are formed around the volcanic vents by fragments of lava that are ejected during volcanic eruptions. The fragments of lava normally accumulate gradually and form conical hills with craters at the top. In general, cinder cones tend to have very steep sides, occurring in groups, which produce flows of lava and are usually less than 300 meters of height.
