As strange as it may seem, about 75% of the world's tornadoes occur in the united States. It is in reality due to the peculiar geography of North America, and how the winds and storms are funneled up through the united states. (option b)Is it true that when there is a tornado, which usually comes along with a storm. But tornadoes are way way LESS common than thunderstorms. Your main danger is of the strong winds in the center of the funnel.The rain is minor compared to the damage caused by the wind.Tornadoes are not really the strongest storms on Earth. Because ... I guess that depends on what the "strong storm". Sure, a tornado is incredibly cruel and powerful. But it is only a couple of miles wide, and it only lasts for a couple of hours and then it's over. Tropical cyclones ... hurricanes, monsoons, typhoons ... do not have winds as fast as the tornadoes, but they can be a thousand miles wide and last for weeks.
