Which programs does Columbia Continuing Education offer?

In college, I did a course in accounting. After I graduated I started working at a local bank in my area. I would like to change careers and begin working as either a financial planner or as a certified public accountant. This will require me to sign up for either CFP continuing education or CPA continuing education depending on which career path I choose. I have always said that if I ever go back to school, I will choose Columbia University. However, I do not know whether this will be possible since I am not sure whether Columbia continuing education offers these courses.

Columbia University Continuing Education offers incredible programs that are designed to help students achieve professional development and learn everything they need to. The school goes above and beyond to ensure every student is getting the best education. However, the continuing professional studies only include programs in health, psychology, leadership and education. They do not offer continuing education in CPA or CFP continuous education. However, this does not mean that you cannot further your education in these courses at Columbia University. It is possible.

You can further your education at this university by signing up for the traditional CPA and CFP programs that are available to everyone, not just adults. The only difference will be that you will be doing it to further your education. You might be wondering whether this is a good idea considering that most people who take these classes go to school on a full-time basis. However, it is possible to choose your hours at this university. All you will need to do is explain your situation and the institution might allow you to attend classes part-time. This is very advantageous because it will allow you to focus on your daytime job without worrying about missing classes. The program might be better than the continuing education courses because you will get the opportunity to visit the campus and take advantage of the different resources available there. This is not always possible with further education courses since most of them are offered online.

If you are not willing to take these traditional courses, you also have the option of choosing another university. There are a number of good universities that offer accounting courses like CFP and CPA. All you have to do is to choose the right one and you are good to go. A good example of a great university for continuing education is Harvard. They have an amazing program that you will really enjoy and they offer top quality education. However, you might have to dig a bit deeper into your pockets to go to this institution because they are quite expensive compared to Columbia.

All in all, do not restrict yourself to Columbia University if they do not have the course you want. Take time to research and compare other schools that offer the programs so that you can make the right decision. You will be surprised at how many great and affordable schools there are out there.

I beg to differ. Columbia continuing education includes CPA and CFP courses. Generally, CPA and CFP are continuous education courses that are offered to people who have completed courses in IT or accounting. These courses have not been included in the Columbia continuing professional studies website but the university offers the program. They give you the option of studying online or on-campus. Apart from this, depending on the course you choose you might also get to attend workshops and conferences as part of your learning. I would advise you to visit the university to get more information on the courses you want to take since you cannot get all the information online. Find out everything you need to know about the courses before you enroll. Also, before you decide to go to a different university make sure you have a valid reason why your university of choice is not the right one.
