The bones and muscles in the human body helps to keep it stable, allow for movement and give the body its shape. In the same way, in the cells, the cytoskeleton gives the cell its shape and helps to organize the parts of the cell. The cytoskeleton is made up primarily of microtubules, actin filaments and intermediate filaments.
