I think the answer is: one. dominated by cottonAfter the civil war, the south still has not fully embraced the manufacturing industry, such as the norhtern states, due to the limited mechanisms they possess. Because of this, its economy remains dominated by agriculture (primarily cotton). The only difference is that they pay their workers with the wages instead of using slaves.
