The answer is: the lithium has the lowest number of valence electrons.1) the Electronic configuration of the lithium: ₃Li: 1s2 2s1, which has one valence electron in the 2s orbital.2) the Electronic configuration of beryllium: ₄Be: 1s2 2s2, has two valence electrons in the 2s orbital.3) the Electronic configuration of boron: ₅B: 1s2 2s2 2p1, which has three valence electrons in 2s and 2p orbitals.4) the Electronic configuration of the carbon: ₄C: 1s2 2s2 2p2, has four valence electrons in 2s and 2p orbitals.
