Answer: the second option, with a roll of skateboard slows down because some of their kinetic energy changes to heat.Explanation:The law of conservation of energy says that energy cannot be created nor destroyed ,but remains constant and can be transferred or transformed into different types of energy.Some kind of energies are the gravitational potential energy, elastic potential energy, chemical energy, kinetic energy and thermal energy, amond others.Kinetic energy is the energy due to motion and is equal to 1/₂ mv2 . Therefore, a roller skate has kinetic energy. This kinetic energy is converted to heat (not destroyed) due to the friction between the wheels and the ground, so that it slows down the conversion of kinetic energy into heat is an example of the law of conservation of energy.On the other hand, other statements, (i) a basketball stops bouncing because your energy disappears, ii) a falling book hits the floor, and all its energy is destroyed, and (iii) a toy car gains speed as it moves down a ramp by the ramp creates power, do not represent examples of the law of conservation of energy, since the state that the energy is destroyed or created, in violation of the law of conservation of energy.
