The correct answer to the question will be the compass which I.and compass is not a part of a DC motor. The various parts of a dc motor are the wire coil, the armature, field magnets, brushes and commutator. The wire coil plays a vital role in the DC motor. Their function is the one that rotates in a magnetic field. The coil needs a power supply to do this. The brushes are connected to the coil provides the current through a split ring called a commutator. When the DC motor rotates, it produces a torque. The coil present in the steady magnetic field rotates in a plane which is perpendicular to the magnetic field .The collector present in the DC motor reverses the current so that the torque produced by the DC motor is to keep investing every time. The field of the magnet used in DC motor of permanent magnet and is radial in nature.
