The political parties have the responsibility to make nominations for public office. For appointed positions within the federal government of the united states the president and the executive branch to nominate the designees, who must be approved by the congress. This includes federal judges, US attorneys and heads of the different departments, offices and agencies. However, people can be nominated by members of their respective parties. In some cases, people nominate themselves or offer themselves as candidates. Therefore, the political parties nominate people to run for the public office positions. The various candidates of different parties and of those presented as candidates to be voted.
