Answer : Option a) SodiumExplanation : Sodium is the element more reactive tin from the options given.Sodium has atomic number 11, which is distributed in the atomic shells as 2-8-1.Thus, it is clear that the most external valence shell contains only one electron in sodium. To give away an electron and reach the octet state is easy sodium. If it donates the electron becomes a cation that is very reactive, as it puts a positive charge in itself.In comparison with the valence of the other atoms that are given here, the Nickel has 2 valence electrons, therefore it will be less reactive than Sodium.Carbon has 4 valence electrons and that is less sodium and oxygen needs 2 electrons to become an octet which is also less.
