I think that the best answer is b): it contains particles that can settle. The definition of a suspension is a heterogeneous (which is the same in all parts of the mixture that contains particles that can undergo sedimentation (settling) - this definition is close to b). It should not matter whether those particles are nutrients( so that A or C are not good answers).
