The correct answer is: allowing Germany to take aggressive action with the hope of keeping peaceIn the 1930s, Britain and France followed a policy of appeasement in the hope of avoiding a conflict with Germany, while the II World War was slowly rising. These seemed to be the best option at the time due to that both countries had weak armies, in contrast with that of Germany. Great britain was also in the midst of dealing with the economic problems that arose during the Great Depression.
