The answer is (A) Semiconductors are more conductive than a non-metal and less conductive of a metal. The resistivity of a semiconductor is between that of a good conductor (metal) and a good insulator (non-metal). Metals are good conductors of electricity because they have free flowing the electrons. Non-metals, on the other hand, are not able to conduct heat or electricity very well. In conclusion, the semiconductors lie between these two.
