Geographic isolation could be caused by a number of environmental factors. If a population of people or of a species that live in an island, among the mountains, in difficult to navigate the terrain, or deep in the jungle or forests in general, these groups could experience geographic isolation. Geographic largely occurs if a population or group of people or animals that live in a remote region of the world that have little access to others due to the number of geographic features.
