Commodore Perry of the contribution in the start of japan's transformation was: opened Japan to the West.The commodore Perry made convincing the japanese government to carry out the convention of Kanagawa. By the end of the convention, japan is according to what is established in the several ports in japanese territories that can be used for trading purposes for the countries of the western hemisphere.
