The correct answer is actually D. Second amendment states: A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be to have been infringed.This,although it does not seem like it, does not mean private militia. This means militia in a sense of what it meant during the War of Independence. Was the settler of the militias that fought against the British. Therefore this refers to a right to defend themselves against the oppression of the government and of the external forces.
