13% of sexual assaults occur in the presence of a pedestrian who may have done something to stop the assault. A sexual assault is when, through coercion or physical force of a person touches another with sexual intent without the consent of the person. Sexual assault can be given from one person to another of the opposite sex, or to another person of the same sex, and can occur at any age. Sexual assault includes sexual assault and groping.
