There are several solutions that are classified in the category of HD: 1920 x 1080 is the most common resolution. 1280 x 720 is also common and is used more for sports and fast action content other types of program. In addition, there is a 1035-line format. Although it is a full HD format, which is no longer used, but some of the computers that will support it. In the case of 1080 line resolution, it can be an interlaced or progressive signal. If it is interlaced, the entire image is constructed from two fields, with the premiere of odd lines and the second shows even numbered lines. The progressive scan creates a complete image in a single pass. As two times the number of lines that are updated at any given time, a progressive scan requires twice the data rate of an interlaced scan. Broadcasters are not currently using 1080p as a broadcast format which is currently only in local sources, such as Blu-ray and games consoles.
