This question is broad, but here is a simple straight answer - drug addiction makes a person do/say/listen/etc that is not in its normal use, not me. Women will sell their bodies to support a habit, or you can steal from others (even relatives). When a drug addict is something, the brain begins to change. This is basically how it's done at 'home' - wanting only what she thinks about their basic needs. The impetus for what the addict wants can become so serious that they will do everything to achieve, to reach high. Crimes, or otherwise.
