The vessel operator must first ensure that he has sent a distress signal to the communications tower that is located in any of the nearest coasts they can be detected by your radio. As soon as he makes a distress call, he needs to give the coordinates of the ship in order for the receiver to send the necessary help necessary for the rescue or as a response to the type of distress is given by the operator of the vessel.
