Occurs in the chloroplasts of plants in two stages; the light dependent stage and light independent stage (dark stage).-The light-independent reaction takes place in the stroma of the chloroplast. Uses the ATP and NADPH from light-dependent reaction to assemble the sugars. The product of the light independent reaction is glucose, and the reactants are ATP, NADPH, and CO2.
