Read the excerpt from "Mother Tongue." Lately, I’ve been giving more thought to the kind of English my mother speaks. Like others, I have described it to people as “broken” or “fractured” English. But I wince when I say that. It has always bothered me that I can think of no other way to describe it other than “broken,” as if it were damaged and needed to be fixed, as if it lacked a certain wholeness and soundness. How does Tan build a central idea of her story in the excerpt? Tan discusses her thoughts about language to build the idea that the English language does not have words to match some Chinese terms. Tan discusses her relationship with her mother to build the idea that mothers and daughters in all cultures often have misunderstandings. Tan discusses her mother’s use of English to build the idea that a form of language can be purposeful and meaningful even if it is nonstandard. Tan discusses the English language to build the idea that there is a lack of appropriate synonyms for the word “broken.”

In reality the Holy Quran; Minimum 3.78 billion times a day is read. The truth is that anyone can write anything they want here without proof or facts; But when you think about the logic and do the math, then the answer is the Holy Quran, undisputed. If you think about what the bible is never read from cover to cover by most. If you are using logical deduction or reasoning, as the Holy Quran is the most memorized book in the world. There is a minimum of 5 million people who have memorized it, thus read it from the first word to the last word. And people 10s of times in his life, from cover to cover, and about once every hour during the month of Ramadan. Therefore we can be sure that most people have read the Quran because there are millions of people that have memorized. Also as there are approximately 2 billion Christians and 1.4 billion Muslims. From the statistics we know that there are more practicing Muslims than christians, so that more people read the quran, the bible. Also the number of Muslims are growing more than that of the christians, the more they're going to read the koran, of the bible. Therefore, we can safely assume that the Holy Quran is the clear winner. Despite the fact that "Christianity" came 600 years before that, if you think about it, the bible was never released during the time of Jesus, peace be with him, but a rough estimate by scholars as of 30 - 60 years after Jesus, peace be upon him. The bible during that time was not readily available, as it is today, and not for the common man. Also there are so many versions of the bible so that is not the same book you are reading. There is only one version of the Holy Quran. It could be 1 to 100 English translations but only one Arabic quran. If you want to dispute on the fact that this question does not mean that reading the book from cover to cover, but in bits and pieces of it. The holy qur'an remains the most widely read book in the world. As there are more practicing Muslims than christians in the world, that is a fact. Every practicing Muslim, prays 5 times a day and are not optional prayers which most do anyway. In the 5 times of prayer a day in which the koran is read 27 times the minimum. Just to prove that the Qur'an until the end of the universe will be the majority of those who read the book. I'm taking the Arabic text here not including other language translations Lets just take the weakest estimate that 10% of Muslims are practicing, which is 140 million dollars. Do the math, 140 million x 27 = 3.78 million times per day, the Holy Qur'an is read. .
