The correct answer is D. All of the above.The ecosystems of the cordillera of the Andes are very important for several reasons. They manage to keep the clean air in the region around them. The healthy and clean environment helps in the cleaning of the reserves of fresh water. Also, since a large part of the cordillera of the Andes are covered with vegetation, is of great help for the prevention of the erosion of the soil is held tightly. Desertification can not take place. As the vegetation is taking in large amounts of water, and it is helping a lot in the prevention of floods and landslides. So all in all, the Mountain ecosystems are fundamental to the well-being of the entire region, and human beings should respect and protect these rights in the best way they can.
