Response . The Q specifies Florida. Florida really doesn't have an income tax, but, of course, the Fed is not! . The taxable income, and what you can do as part of the earnings are from 2 different things. In general, the taxable base is lower than your gross (or the amount you probably think you do). The limits and thresholds that you want to know to depend on many other factores...su marital status, age, number of children or dependents, certain other expenses, etc...so there is no hard and fast answer. What is more important, the amount that you need to make before you must pay is different from what you need to do before filing. often, if you do not earn enough to pay taxes, make enough to have to file, and so YOU GET MONEY BACK.
