The inclined plane is an example of the machine without any moving part that is used to make the job easier. It is basically a slope with a flat surface and high height on one side as shown above. IMA is the ideal mechanical advantage is the ratio of the slope of the length (L) to vertical height (H) of the plane.That is to say, IMA = L/HIn our case, L= 9 m and H = 1 mTherefore, the IMA = 9 m/ 1 m = 9Hence, the IMA of the inclined plane is 9.
