There are a few bodies documenting marriage a divorce rates in SEA. However, the data are not even close to the reality, due to multiple factors such as polygamy and battered housewife syndrome, among others. The rights of women (especially) in the SEA is very different to the rest of the world. Many stay married in spite of being strangers under the same roof. Therefore, the question of the divorce rates are definitely lower than in the rest of the world.
