I'm going to assume that you mean a higher or lower comprehensive deductible. A deductible is the part of the statement that they are responsible. If the amount of damages comis $1000 and your deductible is $250, the insurance company will pay $750 and you will have to pay $250. There are a lot of things to keep in mind. You can pay a lower deductible because this means that your interest rate will be higher? If you choose a higher deductible and there is a loss it will be difficult for you to come up with the amount of money that you will pay the deductible? Also, you live in an area that is prone to the integral of claims? There are a lot of strong storms with hail that can cause damage to your vehicle? Do you live in an area with lots of floods? Do you live in an apartment complex where your vehicle can be easily vandalized? Do you live in a rural area where there are a lot of deer hits?
