The answer to this question, in some ways it depends on how you want to utilize your intellectual capacity. The average IQ for most people is 100. Below that, the person may have difficulty in understanding of more complex aspects and progression in life. According to the literature, if a person wants to have a good progression in the academic field, he/she must have iq above 100, for a good progression, IQ over 120 is needed. But the fact is, that IQ is relative , not an absolute, immutable aspect of a person. It also depends on the level of education and the social environment and the emotional state of a person. One can have a good intellectual capacity in the body performance; like sports and dance, but not good in mental ability, such as mathematics or of another type.
