A source is someone who provides knowledge and information to areporter. Could be as simple as asking someone in the streettheir perspective of a current event to a profesprofessional experts, such as ask a doctor to explain the recent advances in cancerresearch. A source can also be one of the published data. For example, this couldinclude a statement issued by a government agency, or data setsuch as the demographics of the population published by the US Census Bureau
