What is a disadvantage for open pit mining?

A open pit mine is essentially a big hole in the ground. The dust is created in mining activities, and the moisture falling into the mine can dissolve minerals and convey them inof water of the earth. The blasting and other noise can disturb some people nearby. In addition, when the mine was developing some activities of rehabilitation, without doubt, has to be implemented to achieve a degree of restoration of the earth.
