One of the advantages of a confederate government is a C. Several states can cooperate in matters of common concern and still retain their separate identities.A confederate government derives its power from the state or provincial government resulting to the weakness of the central authority. The states under the confederation retain all the powers of an independent nation; the powers such as the right to have its own military force, the right to print money, and the right to conclude treaties with other national powers, without needing the approval of other states under the confederation.Confederation of states to exercise their own powers, weakens the central government that led to the founding fathers for the change in Federalism when the Constitution was written.
