This means that a number of things happen that are all connected in one way or another. For example, let's say I'm writing a play. 1. I finished the game in 2012. 2. It is the first shown in the theater of Europe (made up theater) in 2013 3. A Review printed on the show is published for the first time in 2014 4. I write another play based of the first in the year 2015. You must also understand that in history a couple of years is half an instant, so a sequence of related events would most likely be for quite some time.
