Linoleum, or lino for short, is a durable floor covering. Can be used in the printing, as the surface may be carved in the wood. An image is carved into it, and then a layer of paint is applied to the surface. When you put it face down on the paper, the image is transferred to make a lino print. The linen can be used time and time again the same image.
