FLV is a synonym for "Flash Video". It is a format designed to play video web site, which offers high compression and provides high-quality video. FLV is becoming more and MOre popular on the Internet, as it can be easily included in a web page and supports the main operating systems via the Adobe Flash Player and web browser plugin for your browser. Currently, FLV is the file format widely used by some famous websites, such as YouTube, Google Video, MySpace, etc. FLV Files have a video bit stream, audio bit stream. Video bit stream that is commonly used is H. 263 video standard, which is also called Sorenson Spark. Audio bit stream, which is in most Flash files, encodes to MP3.
