The correct answer is - Both civilizations lived in the Mountains of the Andes. Both, the Chavins and the Incas are civilizations that developed in the andes mountain range in the western part of South America. Although the Incas are much more well known to the general public, the Chavins has to take the credit for being much more ancient civilization, and also for the dissemination of its culture in the region and influence the future of the civilizations in this part of the continent. The Chavins were a civilization that existed from around 900 BC to 200 BC, while the Inca civilization flourished much later, during the late Middle Ages.
