The answer is: used force to end union activitiesThere are several things that the owners of the factory can do to the force. For example, you can ensure that all members of the union would have no chance of promotion. Or, you can put the union member name in the "black list" that would be shared with other companies. This will make it very difficult for them to find new jobs if they decided to leave your current company.
