The answer to the above question is the letter c. extremely fast coolingGlassy (also referred to as vitreous textures) occur during some volcanic eruptions when the lava cools so quickly that crystallization cannot take place, resulting from the amorphous nature of glass with few or no crystals. Examples of "glassy" igneous rock include the obsidian and the pumice.
