Homophones are words that sound the same; homographs are words thatare written the same.
A homophone is a word that sounds like another word. An example of a homophone would be the words real and reel or flower and flour. A homograph is a pair of words that have the same spelling, a different pronunciation, and different meaning as under (low tone) or bass (a type of fish).
