United states membership in the World Trade Organization had this effect:It has resulted in a steady growth in the international trade.A disadvantage of this is that the trend towards outsourcing is gaining ground. Companies prefer to outsource labor because of the cost of the concert the labor is cheaper than domestic labor. This is good for the companies because their costs decrease. However, domestic workers are becoming unemployed. I find it difficult to compete with foreign workers. Therefore the unemployment rate increases.
