The security measure that must be taken first by a boat operator to navigate in a storm is: make sure that all aboard are wearing life jackets.During a storm, there is a very high probability that the ships will be affected by the huge waves that could be caused an impact large enough to throw the passengers directly to the open water. To anticipate this, all passengers are advised to wear life jackets.
